Gina Miller predicts EU referendum ‘on all options’ in February 2019 to solve UK division

ANTI-Brexit campaigner Gina Miller has claimed British voters could be called to the polls again in 2019 for a second referendum on "all options" for Britain's withdrawal from the European Union to resolve party tensions within the Conservatives and Labour Party.

The anti-Brexit activist suggested a second referendum could be the only way to resolve divisions within both the Conservative and Labour parties.
Ms Miller, who took the Government to court over the triggering of Article 50, has long been a supporter of a so-called people's vote on the final deal agreed with the European Unionbefore withdrawal in March 2019.
Speaking to Bloomberg, the Ms Miller said: "I think politically Labour would
love an election right now and Conservatives are going to do everything to avoid an election right now.
"If you are a gaming theorist, you look at what will happen: I think we are going to end up with a referendum rather than a general election."

Brexit news: Gina Miller predicted the Government will hold a second referendum by February 2019
Challenged on whether British voters would ultimately want to cast another vote on Brexit, Ms Miller added: "I know there’s no appetite but how do you politically get out of the cul-de-sac we’re in? This is a problem.
"We’ve got divisions in both main political parties so a referendum means – a people’s vote as I’m calling it – it means you can say back to the people ‘well, you sort it out, you make up your mind.’
"Personally, the most democratic thing that can happen is you say to people ‘you need to decide now’. You know, it’s a clean vote on the real options because we didn’t have that before."
Latest YouGov polls published in June 2018 suggest Britons are unhappy about the way Theresa May and her Brexit team are handling negotiations, with 62 percent of the 1,670 polled stating their strategy is bad.
If there’s an amendment in the withdrawal bill saying there has to be a vote then that can be January-February next year

But nearly 81 percent of Leave voters asked about whether they had changed their minds remained firm about their decision to break ties with the bloc.
Ms Miller added that a new Brexit vote should include "all options" presented by Government –including a new deal with the bloc, staying in or leaving without any new arrangement.
She continued: "I would say we need to have a people’s vote on all three options which is whatever Mrs May and the team can come back with; the deal we already have and no deal.
"I think you’re going to bring the country together and then everyone can say ‘we’ve had our say on the options.’
"The Brexit bill will come back to parliament in September and if there’s an amendment in the withdrawal bill saying there has to be a vote, that the people have to decide on the next steps, then that can be January-February next year."
