The World is warming ... FAST! That was yesterday's message from the globalist establishment, aided and abetted by NASA.
What a clumsy attempt to brainwash Donald Trump! The globalist establishment has two days left to change Trump's mind on "climate change" before he becomes the most powerful climate change realist on the planet and begins to show millions of people how they've been tricked over CO2 and fossil fuels and jobs.
Yesterday's doomsday long range weather forecast was nothing new. Here's an earlier forecast from the New York Times dated 15th May, 1932: "Next great deluge forecast by science. Melting polar ice caps to raise the level of seas and flood the continents.
"Very slowly the great ice sheets in the Arctic and Antarctic regions are melting and pouring their torrents into the oceans. The earth must inevitably change its aspect and its climate.
"The earth is steadily growing warmer. "As all the ice at the two poles melts, a stupendous volume of water will be released. Prof. [Sir Edgeworth] David conservatively estimates that the sea level will rise 50 feet".
Here's another from the Los Angeles Times from 30th May, 1947: "Polar Climate Changes Viewed as Menacing. Geophysicist sees catastrophic possibilities with rising temperatures melting glaciers".
Nowadays doomsday weather forecasting is exploited by the nuclear industry, desperate to divert attention from Chernobyl and Fukushima. They hope to persuade us that CO2 from fossil fuels is causing global warming. That way nuclear might start to look clean.
But why should people believe long range weather forecasts? Prof. Patrick Michaels, Virginia's state climatologist summed it up in the Washington Post, 15th June, 1986: "Why do people who express so much skepticism at the daily weather forecast readily panic at one for 50 years from now?".
Prof. Michaels cited the National Research Council's 1983 report "Changing Climate": "The Northern latitudes, from 24 through 90 degrees, have actually cooled off since 1930".
Whatever happened to the term "global warming"? It seems that after the ice-age winter of 2009/10, the globalist establishment decided "global warming" was no longer believable. They needed something more . . .flexible, to suit the flexible climate.
After much head scratching, they hit on "climate change"! Would you believe it! A propaganda term even more believable than "weapons of mass destruction"?
